Continuity of pregnancy care provider has been repeatedly shown to improve outcomes for both mums and babies. For women wishing to birth as a public patient at Peninsula University Hospital our accredited Women’s Health GPs are available for pregnancy and post-natal care, providing a trusted source of support and guidance and a personalised, holistic approach to
your pregnancy journey. With multidisciplinary support from our clinic midwives and allied health team you will be cared for in a manner that provides the for best outcomes for you both. In house support from our specialist obstetricians is also available should the need arise.
Whilst each pregnancy is managed with
an individualised plan, for well women with an uncomplicated medical or obstetric history a standard schedule of care is generally recommended. The care plan outline helps you to understand when and why your visits are scheduled.
