Your Pregnancy care with Bundle
Pregnancy care at Bundle - your questions, answered
At Bundle we are proud to offer a range of pregnancy and birthing care models to suit each family’s preference. All our pregnant patients have access to their chosen continuity of care model, with options to see one of our highly skilled Obstetricians, GP Obstetricians or Midwives during the antenatal period. Choice of private and public hospital care for birth is provided through The Bays Hospital or Peninsula University Hospital.
If you have private health insurance or wish to self-fund your care, we offer a private obstetric model with two outstanding Specialist Obstetricians: Dr Kelly Griffin and Dr Amy Swanson. You will see your chosen Obstetrician for most of your appointments, with a dedicated midwife appointment each trimester. You may present to The Bays at any time, and the hospital midwives can directly contact your Obstetrician. You'll then enjoy the modern facilities at The Bays for your delivery and postnatal stay.
Absolutely! If you don't have private health insurance (or the means to self-fund a stay at The Bays Hospital), you can undertake shared care and have a public birth at Peninsula University (Frankston) Hospital. This model of care is great for someone who wants continutity of care during their pregnancy, but don't mind that they won't be able to choose which doctor is with them for the delivery. We have 2 models of care for public patients: Obstetrician-led Model: You’ll have an initial and birth planning appointment with your chosen Obstetrician, who oversees your midwifery-led care throughout pregnancy. Birth and any urgent care are managed by the Peninsula University Hospital Women’s Health team. GP-led Model with Dr Rebecca Jung: Bek is an accredited antenatal care provider for public patients birthing at Frankston Hospital. She provides comprehensive pregnancy care, referring to an Obstetrician at Bundle if specialist input is required. Postnatal Option Women delivering at Frankston may opt for an extended postnatal stay at The Bays Hospital—this can be self-funded or, in some cases, covered by private health insurance.
